I don't usually feel the need to brag obnoxiously, but this time seems like an exception. For those who don't know, I work as a mechanic at a Chrysler dealership, which can come with some pretty sweet fringe benefits. Today, December 6th, 2017, I got to drive a Viper! Not just sit in it, drive the thing! And this wasn't just any Viper, this was a 2016 ACR with the giant spoiler and everything. I mean, it was only from the service bay around the back of the building to the other side of the lot, and I only got up to second gear, but it counts, darn it! The picture below isn't of the actual car, but it looks just like that one.

So, yeah, I've been walking around feeling like this all day:

Hey everyone; I just got a copy of Greta Van Fleet's debut EP, Black Smoke Rising. If you've never heard of these guys, do yourself a favor and check them out. Their sound bears an uncanny resemblance to Led Zeppelin, right down to the singer's voice. The singer and guitar player are 21-year-old twin brothers, the bass player is their 18-year-old brother, and the drummer is a friend of theirs who's also 18 (I believe that's accurate). This is the best new record I've heard in some time, and I don't think I'll be proven wrong when I say these guys are the future. Give them a listen: that's Greta Van Fleet - Black Smoke Rising. Rock on, brothers and sisters.

As I've said before I'm going on a trip for the next four days so I won't be doing anything for NATG, but on top of that my computer appears to have died, and for some reason it seems like I can't upload pictures onto my family's desktop, so my participation is likely going to be spotty for the foreseeable future. I'm not entirely happy because it just got a new hard drive less than a year ago, and the computer itself is less than three years old. I tell you, the more technology advances, the more I love my 51-year-old Chrysler.

3. For the last couple years I've been trying to write a novel. My first draft came in at 416 pages.
